Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Eagles vs. Canon City Tigers

The Heritage Eagles will face off against the Canon City Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Heritage had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Mountain View 50-19. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 23-point advantage.

Skylar Peterson had an outrageously good game as she posted ten points along with eight assists and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Caroline Belair, who scored 14 points and six steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Heritage was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View only posted three.

Meanwhile, Canon City beat Rampart 49-40 on Tuesday.
