Baseball Recap: Waltham Takes a Loss

After flying high against Acton-Boxborough last Wednesday, Waltham came back down to earth. The Hawks fell 8-3 to the Weston Wildcats on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Waltham's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Weston, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Waltham will challenge Boston Latin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Wolfpack have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Weston, they will take on Boston Latin Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 1, the Dragons 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
