Softball Preview: Valwood Valiants vs. Terrell Academy Eagles        
        
		
             The Valwood Valiants will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome the Terrell Academy Eagles, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:00  p.m. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 On Monday, Valwood earned  a  12-9 win over Brookwood.
  Hali Thomas was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Annasten Creech was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits.  Abi Brooks was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 Meanwhile, Terrell Academy never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Brookwood as Terrell Academy made off with  a  9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
  Sydney Lord was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hadley Webb, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Valwood's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Terrell Academy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record  this season.
