If University wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Waco, they should've done a better job of containing Shamiah Taylor. The Lions came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 49-42 on Friday for which the team can thank Taylor, who posted 38 points. She has become a key player for Waco: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least 25 points, but 10-12 otherwise.

The win got Waco back to even at 14-14. As for University, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-25 record this season.

Waco wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-43 loss against Belton on the 10th. As for University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 87-14 defeat against Lake Belton on the 10th.
