Softball Recap: Forest Grove's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Forest Grove dropped their record down to 18-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Glencoe Crimson Tide by a score of 1-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Glencoe, they pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Their pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matches.

For Glencoe's part, Ally Meyer was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Looking ahead, Forest Grove will take on West Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.6, the Titans 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Glencoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
