The Bloomfield Warhawks will head out to square off against the Lewis Mills Spartans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloomfield has five straight victories, Lewis Mills has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bloomfield barely beat East Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warhawks simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Eagles 44-8. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Warhawks just coasted through the last quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bloomfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron White, who rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 77 yards and one TD while completing 72.7% of his passes. Those two rushing touchdowns gave White a new career-high. Romar Heron was another key rusher, rushing for 91 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bloomfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 259 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lewis Mills played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Plainville, falling 56-20. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.
Although Lewis Mills took the loss, they still got scores from Gryfn Kobylarz, Daniel Ortiz, and Jayce Cichy.
Lewis Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bloomfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Saturday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Bloomfield has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 224.1 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Lewis Mills, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 90.7 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Bloomfield against Lewis Mills in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
