Baseball Recap: Polytech Extends Winning Streak to Three

Polytech entered their tilt with DuPont on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-1 win. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Blake Knight and Deacon Herring were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Knight struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Herring pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave Knight a new career-high. At the plate, Knight went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI, while Herring went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
