Basketball Game Preview: Glasgow Dragons vs. Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles

The Glasgow Dragons will face off against the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Glasgow is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.

Last Monday, Glasgow needed a bit of extra time to put away Brandywine. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dragons have posted since December 13, 2024.

Jahsir Robertson-Hamilton was his usual excellent self, going 5 of 8 on his way to 23 points along with seven boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Glasgow's points. Another player making a difference was Sy'Air Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hodgson Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 69-45 to William Penn. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Colonials are ranked tenth).

Glasgow has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Everything came up roses for Glasgow against Hodgson Vo-Tech in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 64-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glasgow since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
