Baseball Recap: Delmar Comes Up Short

Delmar was the 4-3 winner over Decatur when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Seahawks by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delmar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert McCabe, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Delmar's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Decatur, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Delmar will square off against Laurel at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Decatur, they will face off against Easton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Seahawks surely won't give up without a fight.
