Baseball Recap: Baruch College Beats School of the Future for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Baruch College came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat School of the Future by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-2. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Nesha Jovic was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was John Belmonte, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Baruch College pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for School of the Future, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Looking ahead, School of the Future will head out on the road to square off against Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Baruch College will be paying especially close attention to School of the Future's match: after School of the Future face off against Roosevelt, they'll take on Baruch College again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
