Baseball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

Hoover fell victim to Burroughs and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Burroughs Bears. The Tornados' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Hoover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jude Maldonado, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Maldonado hit this season.

Hoover now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Burroughs, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, Hoover is taking a road trip to challenge Arcadia at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burroughs, they will be taking part in a tournament against Roosevelt at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last six games Roosevelt has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
