On Friday Vallivue's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Columbia Wildcats. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Colt Augustus made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
