Soccer Recap: Verbum Dei Jesuit Comes Up Short

Verbum Dei Jesuit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Anthony Saints. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Verbum Dei Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for St. Anthony, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4-3 record this season.
