Basketball Game Preview: LEE Volunteers vs. Madison Mavericks

LEE is on a six-game streak of home losses, Madison a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. The LEE Volunteers will host the Madison Mavericks at 12:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, LEE came up short against Johnson and fell 68-57. While losing is never fun, the Volunteers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 714th, while the Jaguars are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, Madison was able to grind out a solid victory over Brandeis on Wednesday, taking the game 66-58.

Madison has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-18 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for LEE, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-23.
