Football Recap: Irvine Vaqueros vs. Trabuco Hills Mustangs
If Irvine was riding high off their 36-0 takedown of Woodbridge last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Irvine Vaqueros had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Trabuco Hills Mustangs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Zale, who threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt.
Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Trabuco Hills, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irvine will take on Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trabuco Hills, they will face off against El Toro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are at an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2014, but likely not for long.
