Baseball Recap: Leakey Comes Up Short

Leakey fell victim to Winters and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 16-0 to the Winters Blizzards. The defeat leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Leakey's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Winters, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-0-1.

Coming up, Leakey will head out on the road to challenge Dilley at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Leakey has given up an average of 15.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Winters, they will take on Roby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winters' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Roby's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
