Soccer Recap: Croatan Comes Up Short

Croatan lost against Dixon back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Croatan have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Spencer Lorencz, who's now up to four this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Croatan and nudges their season record down to 5-11-2. As for Dixon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Croatan will be playing in front of their home fans against Swansboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Swansboro's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Dixon, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Northside - Jacksonville on the 16th.
