Football Recap: Plainfield North Comes Up Short

Plainfield North easily dispatched Romeoville last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Tigers fell just short of the Minooka Indians by a score of 23-20 on Friday. The Tigers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Minooka can attribute much of their success to Andersen Klemme, who rushed for 36 yards and one score.

Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Minooka, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Plainfield North and Minooka should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Tigers will square off against Plainfield East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (123 vs. 260). Meanwhile, Minooka (ranked 67th) will meet Plainfield Central (ranked 342nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
