The Kennard-Dale Rams will face off against the Eastern York Golden Knights at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Eastern York will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Kennard-Dale extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand West York Area a 17-0 shutout. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Taryn Ashenfelter made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addie Argiro and Elaina Zabkowski did most of the damage at the plate: Argiro went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Zabkowski went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Zabkowski has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Argiro, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Kennard-Dale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.
Eastern York not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 13-3). They put the hurt on Spring Grove with a sharp 13-3 win. The Golden Knights haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Kennard-Dale pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern York, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Kennard-Dale skirted past Eastern York 1-0 in their previous matchup on April 9th. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Golden Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
