Football Game Preview: Cliffside Park vs. Paramus

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Paramus. On Saturday they take on Cliffside Park . Cliffside Park will need to watch out since Paramus have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.

Last week, Paramus put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything went their way against Pascack Valley as they made off with a 48-14 victory. No one put up better numbers for Paramus than junior Kyle Jacob, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns. In fact, with 15 tackles Jacob was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, Cliffside Park found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-36 punch to the gut against Dwight Morrow. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Cliffside Park.

Paramus's win lifted them to 3-0 while Cliffside Park's loss dropped them down to 1-2. We'll find out if Paramus can add another positive mark to their record or if Cliffside Park can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Paramus's step.
