The Fife Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Jefferson Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Fife's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Steilacoom as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brooke Lindenmuth and Mallory Robson did most of the damage at the plate: Lindenmuth went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Robson went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave Lindenmuth a new career-high. Hope Cole also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Fife hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). They blew past Beamer 26-13 on Thursday.
Delaney Merritt looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Julia Mears was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Molly Burt, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Fife, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.
Jefferson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fife has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Jefferson, though, as they've been averaging 14.1 hits. Given Fife's sizable advantage in that area, the Raiders will need to find a way to close that gap.
