Basketball Recap: South Brunswick Starts off Right with Win over Dixon

South Brunswick had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 50-44 W over the Dixon Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Jayden Daniels was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Wallace, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 15 points.

Despite the loss, Dixon still got an impressive performance from Noah Wright, who shot 47% from the field en route to 24 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Adams, who earned eight points and five steals.

South Brunswick has already played their next matchup, an 81-57 defeat against North Brunswick on the 18th. As for Dixon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lejeune at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
