Softball Recap: St. Paul Catholic Falcons vs. Woodland Regional Hawks

St. Paul Catholic lost against Woodland Regional back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The St. Paul Catholic Falcons fell just short of the Woodland Regional Hawks by a score of 9-8. St. Paul Catholic has not had much luck with Woodland Regional recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Julia Kozlak and Taylor Williams did some serious damage despite the final result: Kozlak went 1-for-4 with four RBI and a double, while Williams scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Kate Marchak was another key contributor, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

On Woodland Regional's side, Ayla DeCrescenzo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Rowley, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
