Basketball Recap: Jamie Maney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dundalk over Edgewood

After flying high against Digital Harbor last Saturday, Dundalk came back down to earth. The Dundalk Owls fell 50-39 to the Edgewood Rams on Monday. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Dundalk's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamie Maney, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Lanaya Valentine, who earned 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dundalk fell to 2-1. As for Edgewood, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Dundalk will venture away from home to challenge Perry Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Edgewood, they will square off against John Carroll at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
