After a string of five wins, Doane Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 23-6 to the Westampton Tech Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Doane Academy has suffered since May 20, 2024.

Hannah Gusrang was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie MacLaren, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Doane Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Westampton Tech, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doane Academy will host Pemberton at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Westampton Tech, they will challenge Holy Cross at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
