Eureka waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the McCluer Comets with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Comets are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eureka's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. As for McCluer, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McCluer, they will be playing at home against Hazelwood Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
