 The Doddridge County Bulldogs will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against the Grafton Bearcats at 5:30  p.m. Doddridge County is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 11.8  runs per game this season.
 On Thursday, it was a hard-fought  game, but Doddridge County had to settle for  a  5-4 defeat against Roane County.
  Colt Sutton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Doddridge County  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 12  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile,  after only one  run in their last  contest, Grafton made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Lewis County  on Thursday. Grafton came out on top against Lewis County by a score of  10-7.
 Doddridge County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Grafton, their victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-2.
 Doddridge County couldn't quite finish off Grafton when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 and fell  7-5. Can Doddridge County avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
