Tulare Western owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. Everything went their way against the Tulare Union Tribe as they made off with a 6-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Tribe back in April, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Matthew Corral was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Corral was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Luke Rice looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

Corral wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Blake Tinker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Tulare Western kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Tulare Western is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Tulare Union, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-19-1.
