Football Game Preview: Ignacio Bobcats vs. Monte Vista Pirates + How To Watch

Ignacio hasn't had much luck against Monte Vista recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bobcats will square off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Ignacio put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-22 victory over Center. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Ignacio relied on the efforts of Lincoln DeKay, who gained 185 total yards and three touchdowns, and Zane Pontine, who threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns. DeKay also rushed for 130 rushing yards, which is notable because the Bobcats are 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista got themselves on the board against Trinidad on Friday, but Trinidad never followed suit. They breezed past the Miners to the tune of 41-0. Considering the Pirates have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ignacio better keep an eye on Jonathan Enderle. He was instrumental in Monte Vista's win, rushing for 43 yards and three TDs. Those 43 rushing yards gave Enderle a new career-high.

Ignacio's record now sits at 2-5. As for Monte Vista, their record is now 5-2.

Ignacio might still be hurting after the 32-8 defeat they got from Monte Vista in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
