Softball Recap: New Prairie Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when New Prairie faced off against Jasper on Saturday. The Cougars came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-1. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

New Prairie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kerrigan Evans, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Evans has hit this season.

New Prairie now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jasper, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

New Prairie has already played their next game, a 7-4 victory against South Bend Saint Joseph on the 14th. As for Jasper, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Southridge on the 15th.
