Volleyball Recap: Clare Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Clare was the 3-0 winner over St. Louis when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks on Wednesday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Clare started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

Pamela Allen paced Clare's offense, picking up 13 kills. Allen got some help from Amelia Ryzyk and her 30 assists. Aria Smylie controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Clare's loss dropped their record down to 11-21-1. As for St. Louis, they pushed their record up to 15-16-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Clare has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Shepherd on the 5th. As for St. Louis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Beaverton on the 5th.
