Soccer Recap: Merced Finishes Even with Ceres

For the first time this season, Merced was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Ceres Bulldogs finished up their game with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Santiago Santiago-Hernandez and Alexander Castaneda scored both of Merced's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

With that draw, Merced's record moves to 1-5-1. Meanwhile, Ceres' record is now 3-2-4.

Merced will take on Pitman in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Ceres, they and Livingston will meet in a canine-themed contest at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ceres' last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
