Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Hope vs. North Providence + How To Watch

The Mt. Hope Huskies will face off against the North Providence Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Mt. Hope sitting on three straight wins and North Providence on five.

Mt. Hope is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: East Greenwich, who was ranked 12th at the time (Mt. Hope was ranked 13th). The Huskies never let the Avengers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Mt. Hope's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Thomas Levis, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and North Providence had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln on Saturday, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that North Providence have won by just one goal.

North Providence's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Mt. Hope, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6-6.
