Softball Recap: Teurlings Catholic Comes Up Short

Teurlings Catholic lost against Central back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rebels fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 8-7. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mikah Thibodeaux was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one run. Kennedy Kling was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Teurlings Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Teurlings Catholic will head out to challenge Breaux Bridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.24 runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central, they will welcome Belle Chasse at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
