Baseball Recap: Armijo Wins Going Away Against Florin

Armijo never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Florin Panthers 17-0. Considering the Royals have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Benny Reid was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Lolo Uscanga was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Armijo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive matches.

Armijo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Florin, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Armijo beat the Panthers by a score of 26-4 on Thursday.
