Softball Recap: Poplar Springs Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Poplar Springs's offense. They lost 19-0 to the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals on Tuesday. The Atomics' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Poplar Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poplar Springs will take on Laurel Hill at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hoboes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.33 runs per game on average), something the Atomics will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Holmes County at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th.
