Volleyball Recap: Greeley West Spartans vs. Fort Collins Lambkins
Greeley West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Fort Collins Lambkins, falling 3-0. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lambkins from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-21, 25-8, 25-15.
Nadia Serrano paced Greeley West's offense, picking up five kills. Serrano got some help from Mya Salazar and her 15 assists. Destiny Velarde controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Fort Collins can attribute much of their success to Raegan Swanson, who had five digs and two aces. Swanson has been hot recently, having also posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played.
Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fort Collins, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.
Greeley West has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Rocky Mountain on the 18th. As for Fort Collins, they will head out on the road to face off against Loveland at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th.
