Baseball Recap: Durant Comes Up Short

Durant was the 2-1 winner over Regina when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Regals on Monday.

Conner Schwarz was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off three triples, three RBI, and one run while going 3-for-4. Those triples were his first of the season.

Durant has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Regina, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

While Durant had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
