Basketball Recap: Groveton Skates Past Goodrich with Ease

Groveton posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 55-16 win over the Goodrich Hornets.

Groveton found their leader in sophomore Josiah Allen, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allen has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ty Torregrossa, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals.

Groveton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

When it comes to explaining why Goodrich lost, don't look at Sky Wrightson. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points.

Groveton's record now sits at 5-7. As for Goodrich, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Groveton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-45 victory against Colmesneil on the 13th. As for Goodrich, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-19 defeat against Chester on the 14th.
