Basketball Recap: Haines Comes Up Short

Haines was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 60-52 to the Wrangell Wolves. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Glacier Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-54 last Thursday.

Haines' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Wrangell, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Haines will face off against Metlakatla at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Metlakatla will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Haines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wrangell, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ketchikan at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
