Basketball Game Preview: Greenfield Bruins vs. North Salinas Vikings

Greenfield and North Salinas are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Greenfield Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the North Salinas Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Greenfield came up short against St. Francis and fell 93-83. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Salinas). They really took it to Gonzales for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-42 victory. The Vikings pushed the score to 61-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans cut but never quite recovered from.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for North Salinas, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Greenfield strolled past North Salinas in their previous matchup on January 6th by a score of 63-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
