Basketball Recap: Veritas Academy Comes Up Short

Veritas Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-30 loss at the hands of the Conestoga Christian Cougars. The Monarch were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.

It was another big night for Josh Boutaugh, who went 14 of 21 en route to 34 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Conestoga Christian. Owen Colon was another key player, putting up six points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Conestoga Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Veritas Academy has already played their next match (against Alliance Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Conestoga Christian has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against High Point Baptist Academy.
