Eldon hasn't had much luck against Helias recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a 12-game winning streak alive.
Eldon will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Hickman, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Kewpies with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.
Eldon never let Hickman on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 26-24.

Eldon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaidyn Shelden led the charge by getting 16 digs and one assist. Shelden is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Helias beat Jefferson City 3-1 on Tuesday.
Helias had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-9.
Eldon better keep an eye on Sophie Verslues. She was instrumental in Helias' win, getting 20 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Verslues has posted since back in September.
Eldon's record now sits at 21-9. As for Helias, their record is now 29-1-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's match: Eldon has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Helias struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Eldon might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Helias in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
