Soccer Game Preview: Woodberry Forest vs. Collegiate

The Woodberry Forest Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Collegiate Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodberry Forest's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Woodberry Forest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Norfolk Academy, who was ranked 11th at the time (Woodberry Forest was ranked 13th). The Tigers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Collegiate duked it out with Potomac School on Friday. The Cougars lost 4-1 to the Panthers. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Collegiate struggled afterwards.

Their goal came courtesy of Jack Becker, who's now up to two this season.

Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 7-2-2. As for Woodberry Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Woodberry Forest might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Collegiate in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
