Volleyball Recap: Messalonskee Starts Season with Win Against Cony

Messalonskee gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cony Rams by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Marina Karkos was the offensive standout of the game as she had 20 digs. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high.

Messalonskee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Yarmouth on the 6th. As for Cony, they will head out on the road to take on Camden Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
