Scholars Guild Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Covington Academy Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
Scholars Guild Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-47 loss at the hands of Young Americans Christian.
Meanwhile, Covington Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success back in December of 2023. They breezed by CrossPointe Christian Academy at home to the tune of 87-43. With Covington Academy ahead 52-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Gino Brown went supernova for Covington Academy, scoring 25 points along with seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Lowery, who scored 20 points.
Scholars Guild Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Covington Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.
