Soccer Recap: Marshfield Comes Up Short

Marshfield managed to keep up with Carl Junction until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bluejays came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. If Marshfield were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to Carl Junction when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Marshfield and nudges their season record down to 6-11. As for Carl Junction, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Coming up, Marshfield will head out to challenge West Plains at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marshfield will be up against West Plains' rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.14 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Carl Junction, they will square off against Joplin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
