Soccer Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short

Glendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Fairfax Stampede, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Stampede are ranked 44th).

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Fairfax, they pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Glendale will venture away from home to square off against La Joya Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfax, they will welcome North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfax is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.
