Softball Recap: Parish Episcopal Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Parish Episcopal waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They beat the Trinity Christian Trojans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-4 on Tuesday.

Olivia Waterhouse ?28 was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game.

In other batting news, Adelia DeFriend ?28 was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Phoenix Jordan ?29, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Parish Episcopal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in seven consecutive contests.

Parish Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
