Volleyball Recap: Kyah Caamal Key Part of Team Effort in Dragons Win

Delta Charter's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Lodi Academy Titans 3-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Delta Charter took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Delta Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyah Caamal, who had 13 aces. With that strong performance, Caamal is now averaging an impressive 2.9 aces per game. Madison Montagnese was another key player, getting nine aces and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Delta Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 36 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Delta Charter pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Lodi Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
